Leider hat die F\u00e4hre knapp eine Stunde Versp\u00e4tung, so dass wir erst kurz vor 11:00 Uhr ablegen. Nochmals fahren wir durch einen Teil des Queen Charlotte Sounds und sehen dieses Mal sogar Pinguine und Delfine im Wasser. Nach einer Stunde langsamer Fahrt durch die Sounds liegt das Meer vor uns, besser gesagt die \u201eCook Strait\u201c, die Meerenge zwischen den beiden Inseln NZs. Der Seegang ist jetzt deutlich zu sp\u00fcren und auch die Temperatur ist nicht gerade sonnendecktauglich, aber trotzdem bleiben wir drau\u00dfen und genie\u00dfen die frische Seeluft. Daf\u00fcr werden wir belohnt mit der Sichtung einer Pelzrobbe und einer kleinen Gruppe Delfine, die sich neugierig unserer F\u00e4hre n\u00e4hert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery neuseel\u00e4ndischen Hauptstadt\nWellington. Wir sind \u00fcbrigens froh, dass wir nicht erst f\u00fcr Samstag die\n\u00dcberfahrt gebucht haben, denn f\u00fcr morgen ist Sturmwarnung ausgegeben worden.\nDummerweise kommt das Sturmtief, das gerade Australien heimgesucht hat, dann in\nNZ an. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auch in Wellington klappt Gep\u00e4ckausgabe und Mietwagen\u00fcbernahme reibungslos und wir begeben uns noch auf eine kurze Besichtigungstour in die Innenstadt. Wir haben uns ja zwischenzeitlich an das Linksfahren mit allen seinen Konsequenzen ganz gut gew\u00f6hnt, aber in solch einer gro\u00dfen Stadt, mit mehrspurigen Kreisverkehren und den seltsamsten Kreuzungsgestaltungen wird man doch leicht mal unsicher, so dass wir froh sind, endlich raus zu kommen. Leider kommen wir die erste \u00be Stunde nur sehr langsam vorw\u00e4rts, denn scheinbar sind wir nun mitten im Feierabendverkehr. Stau in NZ! Das hatten wir vorher auch noch nicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00fcr\nheute haben wir kein besonderes Ziel, es soll nur entlang der Westk\u00fcste\nRichtung New Plymouth gehen. Deshalb haben wir auch keine Unterkunft\nvorgebucht, wir fahren einfach so weit, wie wir wollen. Kurz vor Levin\nentdecken wir ein Hinweisschild auf ein Lokal mit dem Namen \u201eStefans Gasthof\u201c!\nDa \u00fcberlegen wir nicht lange und fahren raus. Es ist zwar kein deutsches Lokal,\nwie wir zuerst vermutet haben, aber der Inhaber ist Schweizer. Gut, wir sind\nnicht kleinlich und kehren ein, denn die Speisekarte verhei\u00dft Gutes. Auch die\nGastst\u00e4tte selbst ist sehr gem\u00fctlich und wenn das Wetter mitspielen w\u00fcrde (es\nhat gerade leichter Nieselregen eingesetzt), k\u00f6nnte man auch in einem liebevoll\ngestalteten Garten sitzen.
