In der Nacht zieht ein Sturmtief von Australien her\u00fcber nach\nNeuseeland und hat seine gr\u00f6\u00dften Auswirkungen in der Region South Taranaki.\nDort hin kommen wir auf unserer heutigen Fahrt nach New Plymouth und sehen\nzahlreiche entwurzelte oder abgeknickte B\u00e4ume und vor allem im K\u00fcstenort Patea\nauch abgedeckte H\u00e4user und eingest\u00fcrzte Fassaden. Einige\nF\u00e4hren sind auch gecancelt worden. Stellt sich die Frage, ob der morgige\nMarathon \u00fcberhaupt stattfinden wird. Aber je n\u00e4her wir der Stadt New Plymouth\nkommen, desto weniger dramatisch stellen sich die Sch\u00e4den dar. Dem Lauf wird\nwohl nichts entgegenstehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unser erster Weg, als wir in New\nPlymouth ankommen, ist der zum \u201crace headquarter\u201d, das in einem Tagungsraum im\nQuality Hotel eingerichtet wurde. Wir empfangen unsere Startnummern und das\n\u201cracepack\u201d, Andrea ersteht noch das offizielle Laufshirt und das war \u2019s dann\nauch schon. H\u00f6rt sich ganz sch\u00f6n \u201cstrange\u201d an. Mal sehen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mittagessen f\u00e4llt heute aus. Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck\ngab es in einer Caf\u00e9-Bar in irgendeiner der gesichtslosen Kleinst\u00e4dte, durch\ndie wir heute gekommen sind. Das kulinarische Highlight ist heute unsere\n2-Mann-Pasta-Party in unserer Unterkunft, der Pukekura Motor Lodge. Aus dem\nSupermarkt holen wir daf\u00fcr Instantnudeln und Fertigsauce, die wir in der\nMikrowelle warm machen.
